Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge
  • Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical (480V), and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of 120, 208, and 480 VAC circuits
  • Experience with conveyors, electronics, PLC hardware and ladder logic
  • Understanding of motor control circuitry (VFDs, soft starts, etc.)
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc., and improvise when equipment is limited
  • Design and build small tools and fixtures from sketches or verbal instructions
  • Make periodic checks of machines and equipment and perform preventative maintenance (oiling, greasing, etc.)
  • Perform carpentry and sheet metal work to fabricate and repair benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc
  • Make sketches for and build racks, bins, shelves, and other aids to production
  • Plan and lay out work, determine accurate and efficient methods, and diagnose and correct difficulties to minimize production downtime
  • Emphasize safe work practices, adherence to LOTO procedures, and use of PPE
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery, conveyors, and robotics
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Perform preventive maintenance to assure maximum equipment functionality
  • Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, come in early, or stay late as needed based on production demands
