A high school diploma with 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer with analytical instrumentation is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related field is preferred. Proficiency with OES, XRF, and XRD is highly preferred.
Responsibilities include on-site installation, repair, upkeep, verification, and validation of OES, XRF, and XRD systems, using customer management software, inspecting and troubleshooting malfunctioning products, and providing training on safe equipment operation.
The role involves standing for full shifts, lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance, working in loud noises, strong odors, various weather conditions, and wearing PPE; physical activities include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
Strong candidates are customer-focused with excellent social skills, have technical knowledge of scientific equipment, can prioritize service requests, produce clear documentation, and work independently with minimal supervision.
