Your Role at Baxter

This role is crucial in supporting sales partners by developing technical, functional, and clinical capabilities for Baxter’s Care Communications products. The portfolio includes Nurse Call Systems, Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), Patient Engagement Systems, Clinical Communication and Collaboration Systems, Alarm and Alert Management, and Medical Device Integration. These integrated solutions, both internally developed and third-party, are designed to unify the software platform, driving workflow efficiency, improving patient outcomes, enhancing patient care, strengthening patient safety, and boosting patient engagement.

This specific role focuses on Nurse Call, RTLS, and Patient Engagement Systems.

As part of the Clinical Solutions Architect Team, you will provide regional coverage throughout the United States, with the flexibility to offer cross-region support during peak deal opportunity periods. This position reports to the Clinical Solutions Architect Manager.

This is a full-time remote position. The ideal candidate must reside in the Northeast region to effectively support business needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with Sales partners to define solution scope that aligns with customer needs and expectations for Baxter Care Communications portfolio.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to deliver first-pass yield of Nurse Call Solution Designs and Quotes.
  • Conduct onsite facility walkthroughs to validate in-scope clinical and ancillary departments against facility-provided drawings.
  • Review proposed solution designs with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy and breadth of scope.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal partners throughout the development of Statements of Work, Quotes, Change Orders, and Concessions, from inception to closure.
  • Develop and maintain Statement of Work language to support project initiatives.
  • Provide supporting deal documentation to Order Management, Service Delivery Teams, etc.
  • Assist with internal and external customer communication, education, and presentations.
  • With an attitude of continuous improvement, identify, support, and promote opportunities to enhance the Solution Design & Quoting processes, ensuring alignment with internal and external expectations without compromising quality.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Travel: Approximately 50% travel is expected.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS or equivalent experience) in healthcare, computer science, IT, or other relevant fields.
  • OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales engineer, implementation engineer, system administrator, architect, or project management role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with clinical technology systems that support patient care and patient safety initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with and ability to read and understand complete construction drawings, including architectural, structural, FEE, IT, and MEP scope.
  • Experience working with a general contractor, electrical contractor, or low-voltage contractor.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload effectively through prioritization, and possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of IT networks, servers, and infrastructure.
  • Experience estimating multiple scopes, with the capability of building detailed proposals.
