The Communications Specialist is a key member of the marketing team supporting a leading national insurance agency. The role will drive the brand voice of the agency and manage communications to high-profile clients, nearly half a million customers, and internal colleagues across multiple internal and external channels, including the intranet, newsletters, company website, email, and media organizations. Must be able to write effectively, generate engaging story ideas, manage multiple projects, and recommend new strategies to achieve goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations required
- Journalism background is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional team members to create high-quality content for various internal and external channels, including the intranet, newsletters, company website, emails, blogs, print and digital advertising, executive communications, videos, and media organizations.
- Consistently generate new and engaging story ideas relevant to target audiences and develop content in the brand voice.
- Collaborate with senior executives and business leaders to translate company strategies and goals to meaningful communications for diverse audiences.
- Deliver content on time and partner effectively with internal clients to gain approval.
- Balance multiple projects with differing and aggressive timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems.
- Identify needs and recommend new strategies to achieve goals.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of content.
- Execute other special projects as needed.
