Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of knowledge and experience in procurement/purchasing, including procuring own company's products from overseas factories and adjusting delivery dates (direct or indirect procurement)
  • Business-level English (TOEIC 800+ or equivalent)

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills (English and Japanese) for timely information sharing and collaboration with customers and internal/external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly and accurately place orders to overseas affiliate factories and distribution centers, and manage processes from shipment to domestic warehouse receipt
  • Continuously manage the latest delivery dates and proactively provide information to internal/external customers
  • Collaborate with customer service teams at overseas affiliate factories and distribution centers to promote prompt shipments and product allocations; negotiate and escalate as needed
  • Manage and improve performance of overseas affiliate suppliers, factories, and shipment sites to reduce deficiencies in import documents, minimize damage to incoming goods, and expedite credit invoices
  • Meet customer requested delivery dates to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to achieving internal sales targets and KPIs
  • Actively collaborate with planners, customer service, sales/marketing, quality assurance, and maintain close communication with global teams
  • Cooperate in achieving inventory value and scrap reduction targets by taking proactive actions
