Growth Specialist - Commercial Segment

Employment Type: Full-Time Location Type: Remote Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 OTE

Position Overview

Zip is revolutionizing the way companies purchase software, services, and tools. Our purpose-built procurement platform offers a simple, consumer-grade user experience, addressing a complex market valued at over $50 billion. We have rapidly created a new category and are the leading solution, trusted by world-class companies like OpenAI, Snowflake, and Coinbase. Our team comprises top talent from industry-defining companies, backed by significant funding and a $2.2 billion valuation. We are focused on cutting-edge technology, global expansion, and delivering exceptional customer value.

As the dedicated Growth Specialist for the Commercial segment, you will be instrumental in developing and executing creative, fast-paced programs to generate pipeline for our Commercial Sales team. This is a highly entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from the ground up, and possesses a bias for action. You will transform vague growth goals into high-impact, measurable results through process optimization, outbound innovation, segment-specific campaigns, micro-events, and unconventional channels.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute net-new growth marketing experiments to drive pipeline for the Commercial sales team.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial Sales team to identify bottlenecks and develop targeted programs and campaigns.
  • Move quickly: test ideas, measure results, learn fast, and scale successful initiatives.
  • Collaborate across GTM teams on cross-functional initiatives, such as website optimization/CRO and crafting persona-specific messaging.
  • Build scrappy workflows and lightweight tools to enable Sales to scale successful programs.
  • Analyze program performance and provide insights to leadership on effectiveness.
  • Help define Zip’s future playbook for pipeline generation, grounded in experimentation and iteration.

Requirements

  • 4-year undergraduate degree from a top school (preferably in a quantitative or business-oriented field).
  • 2–5 years of experience in growth or performance marketing at a fast-paced startup.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and take ownership of initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving quickly without complete information.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to use data to evaluate outcomes and drive decisions.
  • Clear cross-functional communication skills to align stakeholders and gain buy-in.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience partnering directly with Sales or Marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with outbound campaigns, demand generation, or GTM programs.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
  • Experience working in B2B SaaS or high-growth environments.
  • SQL or data visualization tool experience is a plus.
