Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8-10 years of experience in business, healthcare, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required experience includes clinical supplies/materials operations or clinical drug development, and validated experience in pharmaceutical services, life sciences, health care services, or high tech. The role also requires demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct management responsibility, experience negotiating complex customer contracts, business/financial competence with preferred P&L experience, and a proven track record of increasing profitability on large customer accounts. Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally is also necessary.
The Global Relationship Director will lead strategic accounts to drive profitable growth aligned with the CTD and PSG strategic plan, AOP, and goal tree, taking full ownership of customer relationships for high-revenue, multinational clients. Responsibilities include developing strategies to increase customer revenue and expand service offerings, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver global service, and acting as a trusted executive advisor by leveraging industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions. The role involves promoting new services, guiding work placement at CTD sites, communicating customer feedback to the organization, mentoring team members, managing customer expectations through clear and ongoing communication, and ensuring quality and delivery levels meet customer expectations. Key partners must be advised of all customer relationship issues, needs, and developments, and regular quality or service delivery review meetings must be prioritized to ensure operational performance standards are achieved.
