Candidates should have 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Sales Engineer at a SaaS company, with strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar, and experience working with APIs. Proven experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity, excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to various audiences, and a strong problem-solving mindset are essential. Experience in fintech, tax compliance, sales tax systems, accounting software, ERP platforms, or early-stage startups are considered a plus.
The Founding Solutions Engineer will partner with Sales to lead technical discovery, run product demos, and scope integrations for prospective customers. This role involves owning the technical onboarding and implementation process from solution design to production launch, building and maintaining demo environments, proof-of-concepts, and integration documentation. The engineer will work directly with Engineering and Product to translate customer requirements into new features, serve as a trusted advisor on architecture and APIs, create internal tools and automations, and act as the voice of the customer to inform roadmap decisions.
