Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 3 years of software engineering experience. An active US Government TS clearance is required, or the ability to obtain one, along with a willingness to maintain it. The role requires travel up to 40% within the U.S.

Responsibilities

The Forward Deployed Software Engineer will independently develop solutions to complex customer problems, optimizing for team efficiency and delivering reliable, properly scoped products. They will regularly interface with customers to help them maximize the value of Shift5's product suite and continuously iterate on improvements to the customer experience. The role also involves communicating effectively with customers of varying technical levels, demonstrating curiosity, and navigating challenging situations with strong convictions and adaptability, while acting as a mini-CTO of their deployment.
