This role is a Solution Engineering position that typically involves 70% remote work and 30% travel, supporting sales and channel technical activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, passionate about technology, and skilled at enabling teams and connecting with people to solve requirements. Previous Pre-Sales, Support, or Professional Services experience at a Vendor, Channel, Customer, or Distribution role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive leader of technical discovery conversations to qualify and validate customer requirements and use cases.
  • Build out a bill of materials that meets customer needs and aligns to desired outcomes.
  • Conduct technical sales presentations and product demonstrations to audiences of 1-100 people.
  • Inform partners and customers about new SonicWall solutions and industry trends.
  • Understand and demonstrate SonicWall's unique value proposition and competitive offerings.
  • Build and maintain at least 10 trusted relationships with channel partners, holding recurring meetings with their technical decision-makers.
  • Build and maintain a personal lab for common demo requests and personal development.
  • Support remote partner product trials.
  • Technical lead for proof of concepts, either with a partner or directly with a customer.
  • Participate in beta testing and provide feedback to product management teams.
  • Teaming with support to preserve relationships with partners and customers.
  • Support key technical marketing initiatives, building out collateral and presenting at virtual or external events.
