Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, biomedical technology, or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology being preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in science, engineering, and/or customer service is required. The role necessitates the ability to travel at least 50% with overnight stays, respond to customer sites with 24 hours' notice, and take on-call weekends. Additionally, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely is mandatory.
The Field Service Supervisor will manage daily operations of the Field Service Engineer (FSE) team, handle FSE inquiries, resolve critical customer issues, and oversee training compliance, overtime, onboarding, and performance evaluations. Responsibilities also include performing corrective maintenance, upgrades, installations, and preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation within an assigned territory, potentially traveling to support other regions. Key duties involve developing and conducting team meetings, reporting on FSE metrics, improving service processes, managing expenses, acting as a technical liaison, administering ServiceMax, assisting with car stock inventory, hiring new FSEs, and performing instrument repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records and ensuring customer satisfaction.
