Requirements

Candidates should possess an apprenticeship as an electrician, electronics technician, electromechanical engineer, or a comparable technical education. Experience in the commissioning, assembly, and maintenance of machines and systems, ideally in medical technology, is preferred. Strong understanding of technical systems and components is required, along with good computer skills and fluent German and English language proficiency. A valid driver's license (Class B or higher) is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer will efficiently execute customer service orders (maintenance, repairs, and recall campaigns) while adhering to quality standards. They will provide technical support to sales representatives, both in the field and at the customer's location, order and manage spare parts and consumables, monitor material returns, perform error analysis and troubleshooting on-site, maintain inspection intervals, meet agreed-upon service deadlines, advise customers on fault reports and operator problems, initiate escalation processes for frequent malfunctions, document and process complaints, and interface with logistics, administration, training/support, and service management. The role also includes contributing to improvement projects and upholding quality processes.
