Engineer II, Field Service

Candidates should possess a technical degree from an accredited school and a minimum of 3 years of field service experience, along with demonstrated competencies using tools such as basic hand tools, multi-meters, megger, rigging, and generator special tooling. Experience with air, hydrogen, and liquid cooled generators in 2 and 4 pole configurations, and generator high voltage testing such as PI, DC Leakage, and Hipot is required, and familiarity with generator rotor and stator robotic test equipment such as RoGIS, MAGIC, and MAGIC Jr. is preferred.
The Field Winding Engineer will be responsible for performing winding inspection, electrical testing, maintenance, and repairs on generator HV windings at customer sites globally, providing basic mechanical strip-down and rebuilds of machines for winding access, conducting visual winding inspections, and performing in-situ generator winding repairs including stator re-wedge work. They will also work as part of a team for on-site stator strip and rewind operations, supervise and train internal and external customers, interpret technical drawings and specifications, prepare method statements and reports, attend technical meetings, conduct on-site risk assessments, and travel domestically and internationally as needed.
