The Enterprise Software Solution Consultant (ESSC) provides pre-sales services, focusing on the implementation and deployment of IS offerings for both internal and external customers. This role is crucial in supporting the ESS Team in guiding customers through their IoT Digital Transformation journey.

Reporting to the Regional Manager of Enterprise Software Solution Consultants, this position primarily offers sales support to Enterprise Software Sales Executives within the region, as well as supporting other key customer engagements from different sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to RFIs and RFQs.
  • Collaborate with Rockwell sales representatives on sales strategies, plans, and execution.
  • Present the qualitative and quantitative value of proposed solutions.
  • Create custom presentations and documents that clearly articulate customer business problems and Rockwell's solutions and benefits.
  • Communicate with customer IT representatives to understand their IT infrastructure and policies, and to present solutions that integrate effectively into their IT environment.
  • Provide guidance to customers and implementers on product deployment strategies, including alternatives, costs, and benefits.
  • Work with deployment teams (internal or partners) on deployment strategies and specific proposals as needed.
  • Prepare technical materials, presentations, and tools to enhance sales force effectiveness.
  • Evaluate products and provide feedback on product features and performance.
  • Serve as a technical expert for pre-sale customers and internal events.
  • Develop product enhancements for various delivery teams to extend existing product functionality and/or improve development efficiency.
  • Act as Rockwell Automation's technical representative to industry associations and standards committees.
  • Maintain a customer-focused attitude.
  • Address issues of diverse scope requiring evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Work independently on day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Develop plans to achieve goals for new assignments with minimal initial instruction.
  • Collaborate effectively with ad-hoc teams to achieve project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or another technical field, OR a BS/BA in Business or Marketing with relevant technical experience in one or more manufacturing applications such as IoT, Digital Transformation, Analytics, or Cloud Computing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments and core tools like Logic Controllers, Historians, SQL, MES, and ERP systems.
  • Minimum of 6 years of product experience and application development in Industrial Automation, MES, or Enterprise Software fields.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in pre-sales for industrial automation solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and influence across all levels of the company.
  • Strong commercial, product/service/solution, and application skills.
  • Willingness to travel moderately to extensively, primarily within the region, with potential opportunities in other global regions.
