In this role, you will be responsible for creating your business development plan and closing new customers through strategic sales tactics, including emails, phone calls, web-based demos, and face-to-face meetings.

Your Impact

  • Engage with Fleetio Prospects in the State & Local Government industries, many managing fleets of hundreds to thousands of vehicles.
  • Navigate complex organizational structures to identify and drive the sales process with multi-layer stakeholders in enterprise organizations, including executive sponsors, champions, and buyers.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan to source and close net new logos within your assigned territory.
  • Research and understand customer business objectives to conduct a value-driven sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to advance deals and ensure customer success.
  • Consistently meet ARR revenue targets and drive success through a metric-based approach.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to generate pipeline, drive sales opportunities, and deliver repeatable and predictable bookings.
  • Provide timely and insightful feedback to corporate functions such as Product Management, Customer Success, and Account Management.
  • Create ROI and business justification reports using a data-driven approach.
  • Manage Proofs of Concept (POCs) based on defined business success criteria.

Your Experience

  • 5+ years of experience successfully closing Public Sector sales opportunities.
  • 5+ years of experience carrying a $1M+ quota.
  • High proficiency in selling Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud-based solutions to government customers.
  • Proven experience building relationships and selling face-to-face to Procurement groups, C-level executives, and public sector officials.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in building direct customer strategies and fostering relationships across customer departments.
  • Ability to provide clear examples of closing complex deals and selling into complex organizations.
  • Capacity to learn, pitch, and demonstrate a technical product, adapting effectively in a fast-growing and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in using a repeatable method for uncovering greenfield opportunities and building out new territories.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
