Candidates should have 5+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience focused on net-new prospect acquisition, with demonstrated success in consultative, solution-selling within tech sectors like SaaS, cloud, big data, or open-source. Experience applying structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, or SPIN, a track record of exceeding quota in competitive markets, excellent communication and storytelling skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, a team-first mindset, high integrity, and a willingness to travel are required. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
The Enterprise Account Executive will own the full sales cycle for net-new logos in their assigned territory, from prospecting to closing. They will proactively identify, qualify, and engage prospects to build a strong pipeline, develop and present compelling value propositions, and partner with Solutions Engineers and Services teams. Responsibilities include driving the use of strategic sales methodologies to build deal structures and forecast accurately, building relationships with C-level stakeholders, and collaborating with marketing, business development, and channel teams to maximize territory potential. Staying informed about Confluent’s offerings and the data infrastructure landscape, and traveling as needed to engage customers are also key duties.
