Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or corporate development
  • Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives in a global, matrixed organization
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, financial services, and fintech (preferred)
  • Experience leading and managing a high-performing team of strategists
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
  • Executive presence and ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Proven track record of strategy development and execution
  • Ability to manage, lead, and coach direct and adjacent teams
  • Confidence influencing others without direct authority and collaborating across the organization

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the divisional leadership team, lead the development of Nasdaq’s strategy and long-term strategic priorities including new growth vectors that will maximize shareholder value
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and competitive threats
  • Gather intel on competition, regulation, and market trends in support of strategic choices
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes
  • Partner with M&A, Ventures, Corporate Strategy, and Business teams to assess inorganic growth opportunities
  • Support innovation efforts across the division, including AI-driven advancements
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to CAP leadership team
  • Prepare high-impact presentations and materials for executive and investor audiences
  • Partner with division and business unit leaders to drive unified voices on strategy topics
  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, Product, and Marketing teams to align strategy with execution
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing strategy team, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence
