Requirements

Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to travel for the twice-annual Common App Retreat. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business is required, along with 8-10 years of experience in strategic communications or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The role also requires 6-8 years of experience leading high-performing teams, proficiency with backend advertising platforms (Meta Ad Manager, LinkedIn Ad Manager, TikTok Ad Manager), and a deep understanding of digital and social media trends. Proven ability to drive measurable improvements, lead and manage teams, track and analyze social media data, develop engaging content, plan and optimize social media advertising campaigns, and exercise initiative, independent judgment, and advanced project management skills are essential. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of Digital & Social Media will drive a strategic, data-informed digital presence to elevate brand visibility, audience engagement, and leadership in higher education. This includes overseeing website strategy, social media channels, content development, SEO, paid social, digital campaigns, and performance analysis. The Director will lead a team of Digital and Social Media Specialists, collaborate with internal partners, provide visionary leadership in digital marketing and social media engagement, and ensure digital strategies advance organizational priorities.
