Requirements

Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or growth strategy within fintech, Bitcoin, or consumer technology, demonstrating strong knowledge of Bitcoin, hardware wallets, self-custody, and digital asset management. They must have a proven ability to build and manage complex partnerships that yield measurable results, coupled with an extensive network within the crypto and fintech industries and excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development will identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships to expand distribution and functionality of Blockstream’s app and Jade, build relationships with wallet platforms, exchanges, retailers, and fintech providers to increase product accessibility and usage, represent Blockstream at Bitcoin conferences and events to grow the consumer ecosystem and partner pipeline, launch new go-to-market initiatives with distribution partners in key international markets, develop bundled offerings and co-marketing opportunities, monitor market trends and competitor offerings, define and execute a growth strategy for consumer product lines aligned with product and marketing roadmaps, collaborate with Product Marketing to inform messaging and feature prioritization, and partner with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to structure scalable, compliant agreements.
