  • Strong understanding of one or more market segments: Adhesives/Resin/Coatings/Surface Treatments; Polymers & Recycling; Agrochemicals; Industrial Cleaners/Chemicals; Electronic & High Tech Chemicals; Critical Minerals & Materials; Abrasives; Catalysts, Adsorbents; Toll & Contract Chemical Manufacturing
  • Demonstrated history of selling complex processing systems and equipment into these markets
  • Highly motivated, “roll-up your sleeves” professional fluent in engineering, materials, manufacturing, and client relations
  • Comfortable developing strategy, prospecting and developing relationships, and progressing deals through to closure
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to export control laws and regulations)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on specialty chemicals and materials markets
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new project opportunities in process design, automation, custom equipment, and turnkey systems
  • Leverage various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, online platforms, and referrals, to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of potential clients
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and key business partners at client organizations
  • Understand clients' goals, needs, and strategic objectives to position contracts effectively
  • Work closely with technical experts during the entire business development process from identifying target clients to securing contracts for engineering development and/or manufacturing
  • Nurture ongoing relationships with existing clients
