Strong understanding of one or more market segments: Adhesives/Resin/Coatings/Surface Treatments; Polymers & Recycling; Agrochemicals; Industrial Cleaners/Chemicals; Electronic & High Tech Chemicals; Critical Minerals & Materials; Abrasives; Catalysts, Adsorbents; Toll & Contract Chemical Manufacturing
Demonstrated history of selling complex processing systems and equipment into these markets
Highly motivated, “roll-up your sleeves” professional fluent in engineering, materials, manufacturing, and client relations
Comfortable developing strategy, prospecting and developing relationships, and progressing deals through to closure
U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to export control laws and regulations)

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on specialty chemicals and materials markets
Identify, qualify, and secure new project opportunities in process design, automation, custom equipment, and turnkey systems
Leverage various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, online platforms, and referrals, to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of potential clients
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and key business partners at client organizations
Understand clients' goals, needs, and strategic objectives to position contracts effectively
Work closely with technical experts during the entire business development process from identifying target clients to securing contracts for engineering development and/or manufacturing
Nurture ongoing relationships with existing clients
