Candidates should possess an Associate's degree with a Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience, ideally from a Veterinary Technology Program. A minimum of one year of experience working in a clinical setting is required, along with basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe. Basic knowledge of animal disease states and diagnostic products, instrumentation, and clinic processes is preferred. The candidate must have an analytical mindset, demonstrable critical thinking skills, and be willing to travel up to 75% of the work week, with flexibility for customer visit requests.
The Diagnostics Technical Specialist will provide onsite support to veterinary clinics, laboratory research, and academic settings, focusing on implementation, training, operation, applications, and problem resolution for diagnostic products. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships to improve utilization and adoption, identifying and addressing clinic pain points through workflow improvements, and responding to requests for technical support and troubleshooting. The specialist will also provide product installation, validation, and applications training, complete detailed activity documentation and customer visit reports, and collaborate with sales teams to identify new opportunities. Safely lifting and moving up to 60 lbs is also a requirement.
