Requirements

Candidates should possess an Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience. A minimum of 1 year of experience in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or customer-facing technical roles is preferred, along with experience operating, fixing, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analyzers or systems. Experience in a clinical, diagnostic, or regulated environment is also preferred. Strong proficiency in Windows, software, networking, electrical/electronics, mechanics, and chemistry technology is required, as is the ability to be an analytical problem solver with good engineering skills. Candidates must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, push and pull equipment, and carry up to 50 pounds for at least 100 feet, and may require some degree of PPE.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer II will provide on-site service, including repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installation of ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) analyzers. They will travel to customer sites on short notice to resolve issues or support other personnel, and observe Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) for field service reports and spare parts management. The role involves collaborating with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes, and providing remote and on-site service training or assistance to Biomedical Engineering Technicians or Advanced Operators. The engineer will also increase technical proficiency through training courses and handle travel expenses according to company policies.
