Job Summary

This is a remote, contract-to-permanent full-time Customer Support Specialist position. This job comes with full benefits, and is ideal for people with busy lives to still have weekends and holidays off! Plus, it's meaningful work with a real impact - assisting licensed professionals to track their continuing education needed for license renewal. This is a fully remote position and employees can work from anywhere in the United States.

Work Schedule and Compensation

  • Shifts: 11 am - 8 pm Eastern Time, Monday-Friday (earlier shifts may become available).
  • Pay: Starts at $18 per hour, aligned with experience and geographic area.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers through live chat, email, and phone support (phone support is 80-100% of time).
  • Providing delightful customer service through casual, unscripted conversations.
  • Maintaining detailed product knowledge to engage in consumer education and support sales efforts.
  • Providing customer feedback and data to internal teams.
  • Writing internal documentation and tutorials.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of previous contact center experience with a track record of success handling live chats, email, and phone support.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory. Spanish-speaking skills are preferred.
  • Communication: Writes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Enjoys teaching others and explaining technical concepts. Possesses patience to listen and understand customer needs. Communicates in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Learning: Is a continuous learner, proactively pursues growth and learning.
  • Attention to Detail: Pays high attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Has functional knowledge of computers and can perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Education: Associate degree or higher is preferred.
  • Work Environment: Ongoing access to a quiet workspace to conduct professional business.
  • Internet: High-speed, reliable internet (minimum of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds) with ethernet connection capability.

Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Location Type: Remote
  • Work Hours: Full-time positions are scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, unless project requirements dictate otherwise. Part-time positions are capped at 30 hours per week and do not receive equipment, benefits, or perks.
