Candidates should have functional knowledge of Javascript, experience with REST API, database management, and web development technologies, and experience delivering technical workshops. Proficiency in communicating complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences via phone and email channels, excellence in time management, task prioritization, and evaluation of situational urgency, and a willingness to travel to customers' locations if required are also necessary. Functional knowledge of additional programming languages like Java, Swift, Python, PHP, C#, Objective-C, or Ruby is a plus, as is familiarity with iOS & Android platforms, experience supporting open-source projects & their GitHub communities, and experience with Shopify, Magento, and Salesforce.com. French, Spanish, or Portuguese speaking ability is also considered a plus.
The Customer Success Engineer will serve as a designated technical contact and trusted advisor to Algolia’s customers, acting as the main liaison on technical areas including value realization, ad-hoc service delivery, workshop delivery, enablement, and providing technical guidance. They will ensure the resolution of complex issues by orchestrating reactive and proactive support across Algolia's Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams. Responsibilities include acting as a consultant, scoping and presenting technical workshops, advising customers on best practices for search implementation and optimization, and working closely with Customer Success Managers to ensure customer health. The role also involves escalating issues as necessary, partnering with Product Teams and Engineering to develop subject matter expertise, developing and presenting case status reports, and proactively identifying and resolving technical risks and bottlenecks with customers.
