Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of post-sales technical experience with customers, including at least 3 years of people leadership and management experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience selling professional services, scoping large projects, and writing statements of work is required. Extensive knowledge of large-scale database technology (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum), experience with non-relational platforms for large-scale data processing (e.g., Hadoop, HBase), and familiarity with data integration/transformation tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Matillion) and BI/data exploration tools (e.g., Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau) are essential. Experience with infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), scoping data platform implementations, and presenting to technical and executive audiences are also required. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is necessary. Flexibility for occasional travel is also a requirement.
The Consulting Manager will act as a technical expert on Snowflake, guiding customers through their migration journey and collaborating with Professional Services, Practice Directors, and Sales Account Teams on sales pursuits, including scoping, pricing, and creating statements of work. They will oversee successful Professional Services engagements, develop methodologies to improve offerings, and create strategies and partnerships with technology vendors and system integrators. The role involves managing and developing Snowflake Solutions Architects and Consultants, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive technologies, and providing guidance on resolving customer-specific technical challenges. Responsibilities also include collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing, presenting methodologies to internal teams, partners, and customers, working with System Integrators and Technology Vendors on project pursuits, leading recruiting efforts for Solutions Architects, and providing delivery quality oversight for migration projects. The manager will also be responsible for creating internal accelerators and reusable Professional Services collaterals and assets.
