As a Consulting Manager at Snowflake, you will be instrumental in building the future of the AI Data Cloud. You will serve as a technical expert on all aspects of Snowflake, guiding customers through their migration journey. This role involves close collaboration with Professional Services, Practice Directors, and Sales Account Teams on sales pursuits, including scoping engagements, pricing services, and creating statements of work. You will also oversee successful engagements with Service Delivery Managers, help develop methodologies to enhance PS offerings, and create strategies with technology vendors and system integrators to accelerate customer onboarding. Additionally, you will manage and develop internal accelerators and reusable PS collaterals, maintain a deep understanding of competitive technologies, and provide guidance on resolving customer-specific technical challenges. You will also lead, mentor, and manage Snowflake Solutions Architects and Consultants, collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing, and present methodologies to internal teams, partners, and customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a post-sales technical role with customers.
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership and management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling professional services, including scoping large projects and writing statements of work.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with large-scale database technology (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum).
- Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g., Hadoop, HBase).
- Familiarity and experience with common data integration and data transformation tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Matillion).
- Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g., Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau).
- Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience scoping multiple implementations of data platforms and addressing migration and integration challenges.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
- Strong knowledge in data architecture, data warehouses, and data engineering.
- Experience and track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers.
- Ability and flexibility for occasional travel to work with customers/prospects.
- Fluency in Japanese.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert on all aspects of Snowflake.

- Scope Professional Services engagements, price services, and create statements of work.
- Oversee successful Professional Services engagements with Service Delivery Managers.
- Assist with issue escalation for customer engagements.
- Develop methodologies to improve Professional Services offerings and delivery capabilities.
- Create strategies and partnerships with technology vendors and system integrators.
- Help manage and develop internal accelerators and reusable Professional Services collaterals and assets.
- Maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.
- Position Snowflake in relation to competitors and complementary technologies.
- Provide guidance on resolving customer-specific technical challenges.
- Act as a leader, mentor, and manager for Snowflake Solutions Architects and Consultants.
- Help Solutions Architects and Consultants develop and grow their expertise.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s offerings.
- Present methodologies and capabilities to internal teams, external partners, and customers.
- Work with System Integrators and Technology Vendors on project pursuits.
- Lead recruiting efforts for Solutions Architects.
- Provide delivery quality oversight and guidance for migration projects.
