Responsibilities

The Snowflake Data Architect will lead the strategic development of the enterprise data platform, guiding the evolution of the Snowflake environment by setting architectural standards, optimizing cost and performance, and partnering across teams to enable scalable analytics. This includes leading Snowflake platform architecture, defining best practices for data structures and modeling, and guiding schema design with the Data Engineering team. The architect will drive cost optimization efforts, represent the Snowflake platform in strategic projects, and collaborate with a Platform Engineer to implement and maintain Git-based version control, metadata documentation, and object lifecycle standards. Additionally, they will mentor engineers and analysts on Snowflake best practices and performance tuning, and participate in governance efforts, architecture reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
