Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong understanding of distributed systems and infrastructure-as-code. Experience with scaling systems to handle high volumes of data and transactions, specifically over 100 million background jobs per day, is essential, and familiarity with technologies like Vitess, Clickhouse, and Redis is preferred. Strong leadership skills and experience managing and mentoring engineering teams are also required, along with a demonstrated ability to make architecture decisions and write code when necessary.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 5+ engineers focused on infrastructure and platform tooling, owning technical strategy, planning, and execution for core platform initiatives with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security. You will operate with a product management mindset, balancing near-term priorities with long-term platform vision, and partner closely with engineering, product, and operations to define and deliver cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives. Additionally, you will act as a strong technical leader, guide architecture decisions, write code when needed, and deeply understand how our systems work, while also being a people-first leader focused on recruiting, coaching, giving feedback, and helping engineers thrive through 360° feedback and continuous development, and contribute to projects such as adopting new data stores and scaling batch processing control planes.
