Requirements

The ideal candidate will have client-facing experience with strong interpersonal skills and experience working with leading UK and Global Consultants, including established relationships with key research decision-makers and field consultants. A strong understanding of new business processes, including RFP oversight, pre-pitch work, pitch support, and follow-up, is required. Practical knowledge of UK regulatory requirements is essential, with familiarity with the Global ex-UK regulatory landscape being preferred. The role demands strong motivation, the ability to work independently, set priorities, multitask, and meet aggressive deadlines and fundraising goals. Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to articulate complex investment strategies to a consultant audience. The position is based in London, and candidates must be willing to be certified under the Financial Conduct Authority/Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).

Responsibilities

The Consultant Relations Director will collaborate with client relationship directors worldwide to build strategic partnerships with investment consultants, proactively developing and strengthening relationships with advisory and delegated consultants, manager researchers, and C-suite contacts. A primary focus will be securing new buy ratings and commercializing existing ones across various market types. The role involves working closely with investment teams and cross-functional groups, including Sustainable Investing and Market Intelligence, to ensure effective presentation of strategies and communications to consultant firms globally. Additionally, the Director will share consultant feedback and market intelligence internally to support product and business improvement.
