Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, coupled with approximately 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in institutional relationship management, business development, or a similar capacity. A proven history of establishing and growing relationships with investment consultants and fiduciaries in the United States is essential, along with an understanding of North American LP trends and buying behaviors, and a track record of successfully raising assets. Experience with real estate, infrastructure, and private markets is preferred, and Series 7 & 63 Licenses are required. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail are necessary. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, build trust quickly, possess a balance of IQ and EQ, be driven by team success, intellectually curious, have gravitas, be hands-on, long-term oriented, and able to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
The Vice President will be responsible for growing and leveraging relationships within the global consultant relations community, focusing on regional and global relationships across the US Central & East Coast and Canada. This role involves coordinating activities to maintain and deepen existing relationships, developing new relationships, and increasing new business opportunities. Key duties include participating in strategic business planning, partnering with the Institutional Client Group to grow, diversify, and retain business, and developing and maintaining relationships with research/field consulting teams and other influencers. The VP will maintain a deep understanding of assigned investment consulting firms, achieve and maintain buy ratings, and leverage strong research ratings to engage strategically with field consultants. Responsibilities also include hosting meetings (virtually and in-person) with appropriate follow-ups, attending conferences, communicating competitive intelligence and feedback, and liaising with CIM stakeholders to provide market/industry information and feedback to enhance investment capabilities and growth.
