Candidates must possess a BS degree in Nursing or Business, with at least 3 years of in-depth clinical nursing experience, preferably in Critical Care or a specialty area, and a strong understanding of I.V. therapy. An active RN license or equivalent experience is required, along with excellent clinical education and in-servicing skills, outstanding communication and presentation abilities, and a professional presence. The role demands the ability to work independently in evolving environments, proficiency in time management, flexibility, tolerance for ambiguity, a strong process orientation, and a high comfort level with technology and nursing informatics concepts. Candidates must also be able to travel up to 80%, be based within an hour of a major airport, possess a valid Driver's License, and potentially be available 24x7 via phone or text.
The Clinical Education Specialist will execute clinical implementation and integration tasks at customer sites, build and deepen relationships with clinical staff and nursing educators using a consultative approach, and maintain a focus on the safe and effective use of infusion pump technology, clinical change management, and product expertise. Responsibilities include maintaining expert knowledge of Baxter's Infusion Therapy products and integrated solutions, ensuring quality and integrity in implementations, supervising and delivering product training through various methods including on-site training and follow-up, and applying education, product, and clinical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve problems to ensure technology adoption.
