Position Summary: The Capture Manager will report directly to the SVP of Business Development and will be responsible for managing the contract capture process, from pre-RFP strategy development through to award.

What you'll do

  • Be an integral part of the Business Development Team, contributing to the growth of a portfolio focused on mission-aligned IT digital transformation work aimed at modernizing government services for vulnerable populations.
  • Execute full life-cycle capture activities, including strategic positioning, competitive analyses, client outreach, partner identification and engagement, and developing price-to-win strategies.
  • Contribute to go/no-go and bid/no-bid decisions, and develop compelling, competitive, and compliant winning proposals.
  • Identify and align past performance and qualifications to support initial technical solutions, and subsequently collaborate with Nava engineers and subject matter experts to refine the final technical solution.
  • Participate in group activities, compliance checks, gap analyses, proposal writing, color reviews, and follow-on activities up to award and transition.
  • Develop comprehensive account plans and detailed capture plans for targeted Departments/Agencies, encompassing strategic drivers, IT landscape, incumbents, and organizational structures.
  • Provide opportunity-level insights to support Nava’s mission and strategic goals, contributing positively to Business Development growth.

Requirements

  • Business Development Experience: 6-9 years (preferred).
  • GovCon IT Industry Experience: Experience within the GovCon IT industry, including proposals/procurements and a solid understanding of US Federal Government contracting.
  • Government Proposal Experience: Demonstrated experience with government proposals, including a general knowledge of relevant terminology, acronyms, lingo, and the application of NAICS and FAR.
  • Understanding of Government Processes: A clear understanding of the cyclical requirements, timelines, and expectations associated with Federal business development, proposals, and contractor operations.
  • Professional Writing Skills: Excellent professional writing, editing, and communication skills.
