The ideal candidate must possess proven experience in new business B2B sales, preferably within the retail, hospitality, or F&B merchant acquiring industries. They should have prior sales experience selling to operations, information technology, or finance stakeholders and demonstrate a strong understanding of retail, hospitality, and F&B technology. Proven knowledge of current sales techniques, pipeline development, and sales development planning is essential, along with a track record of meeting new business targets. Knowledge of the UAE retail, hospitality, and F&B industry or related IT solutions is advantageous, as is familiarity with card acquiring, DCC, payment solutions, Tax Free, EPOS systems, and e-commerce dynamics. Experience with card scheme pricing models, negotiating merchant acquiring agreements, and understanding card scheme rules affecting these sales are also beneficial. Strong interpersonal, networking, communication, team working, organizational, and planning skills are required.
The Business Development Senior Manager will lead new business acquisition, focusing on building relationships with decision-makers in the Retail, Hospitality, and F&B sectors, particularly those with significant international customer bases. Responsibilities include segmenting opportunities, building business cases, developing an annual sales development plan, and nurturing a pipeline of business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
