Granicus is seeking motivated and ambitious individuals to join our Business Development Team. As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role in identifying potential customers, nurturing partnerships with existing clients, and driving the adoption of modern government technology across the country. This role is designed for individuals driven by results and eager to build a successful career in the GovTech sector. You will collaborate closely with Sales Executives and Marketing Teams, gaining exposure to various roles and experiences to develop essential business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting: Develop new business opportunities through phone and email outreach to educate prospects about the Granicus platform.
  • Qualification: Conduct initial qualification to understand prospect environments, pain points, and potential projects.
  • Influencer Identification: Identify key buying influencers within target markets, including their established budget and timeline.
  • Lead Follow-up: Follow up with inbound marketing leads and strategic outbound prospects to generate interest and qualify opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Build and cultivate prospect relationships through consistent communication and follow-up to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Collaboration: Partner with account executives to develop strategic territory plans and grow the sales pipeline to meet quarterly revenue goals.
  • CRM Management: Utilize Salesforce CRM to accurately track all sales activities and manage contact/lead data.
  • Pipeline Analysis: Analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to inform strategy.

Requirements

  • Work and/or internship experience in sales or marketing.
  • A degree in business, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and results-driven.
