Toma is building an AI-driven workforce for the $2T automotive space. We're a small team (from Scale AI/Uber, Braze, Columbia, Berkeley, and Waterloo) focused on creating the world’s first “ghost dealerships.” This Business Development Representative (BDR) role is crucial for fueling pipeline growth and connecting with dealership prospects. You'll be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, scheduling demos, and collaborating with Regional Sales Managers to move deals forward.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of BDR/SDR experience, ideally in SaaS, tech, or automotive sales.
  • Resilience and resourcefulness in outbound prospecting.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Curiosity about technology, especially AI.
  • Organization, goal-orientation, and a pride in work.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot, Slack, and other modern sales tools (Bonus).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and qualify dealership leads through outbound outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Book a high volume of qualified demos (20+ per month) for assigned Regional Sales Managers.
  • Conduct brief initial discovery and scheduling calls to understand prospect needs and fit.
  • Collaborate daily with Sales Manager on scheduling needs and prioritization.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records in Hubspot CRM.
  • Track activity metrics and optimize outreach strategy.
  • Provide real-time feedback to marketing and product based on market conversations.
