Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience with relational databases is required, along with proven experience partnering with business teams to achieve their goals. The role demands the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences, and quickly develop an expert-level understanding of complex software systems. Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to think outside the box are essential, as is the capacity to learn and adapt quickly to varied requirements in a fast-paced environment. Business Intelligence/Visualization experience is also a requirement. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with APIs, web technologies (Javascript, Html, CSS), scripting technologies (Java, Python, R, etc.), and defining project scope and requirements.

Responsibilities

The Business Consultant will partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to develop business strategies and solutions that maximize customer value from the Domo platform. Key responsibilities include defining scalable solutions and data experiences, leading solution discovery workshops, designing and developing data products, and developing strategies for data acquisition and integration. The consultant will also provide consultation and mentoring to customers on best practices to drive adoption, identify business or technical risks to contract renewals and expansion opportunities, design solutions for identified risks and opportunities, and guide customers through solution implementation. Additionally, the role involves enabling customers to maintain solutions through training, interacting with customers at all organizational levels, maintaining excellent customer service, and helping customers understand the value of the Domo platform.
