Broker Channel Sales Executive

Position Overview

The Broker Channel Sales Executive serves as a strategic partner to broker consultants and carrier partners. This role is responsible for expanding our relationship footprint within a defined geographic territory, with a particular focus on Health and Welfare Practices within Mercer, Aon, Lockton, WTW, MMA, and other assigned regional practices. In addition to brokerage/consultant duties, this role is responsible for driving in-market collaboration with our ecosystem partners. The individual will also serve as a member of the deal team, partnering with our technology sales team to ensure alignment and coordination with our Broker and Carrier partners.

Location Type

This position allows for 100% remote work from home or work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for brokers and consultants within a defined geographic territory.
  • Nurture existing relationships and continuously expand our relationship footprint.
  • Liaise with Client Executives as needed to support brokers and consultants who have existing customers with Benefitfocus.
  • Provide quarterly relationship health status of practices within the assigned territory.
  • Drive top-of-funnel activity to support net new growth for the Employer Account Executive team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

  • 7-10 Years of direct sales, broker sales, and/or broker channel management REQUIRED.
  • 10+ Years in the HR, Benefits, or Benefit technology space REQUIRED.
  • Deep existing relationships within the Brokerage space are HIGHLY PREFERRED.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota assignments selling through brokers/consultants, ideally selling enterprise technology and/or services.
  • Up to 50% travel to H&B practices within an assigned territory.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
