Responsibilities

  • Meet budgets in sales, expense, all Profit & Loss (P&L) categories, metrics, and overall store contribution; drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and in-depth report analysis to uncover trends
  • Control expenses and drive sales to maximize ROI, delivering sales results and exceeding budget/profitability expectations to increase shareholder value
  • Ensure the store delivers a hassle-free and personalized athlete experience; develop deep understanding of industry, community, and competitor trends
  • Participate in interview/hiring process and build an effective, diverse store team reflecting varied backgrounds, skillsets, perspectives, and experiences
  • Actively recruit within the community to ensure the team reflects the community served; meet staffing requirements while driving scheduling efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure all teammates are onboarded appropriately, receive role clarity, and are provided development/growth opportunities
  • Plan, organize, and control activities a year out (30-60-90 plans), execute game plans, meet visual standards, and maintain a clean, organized, safe store
  • Educate and empower the team to be technical experts through high standards, learning opportunities, product knowledge, operational excellence, and visual execution
  • Delegate and hold self/others accountable for operational guidelines, brand standards, and customer service expectations
  • Ensure compliance with company operational processes (e.g., firearm compliance where applicable, cash handling, safety) and conduct Loss Prevention audits; empower team on omni and in-store processes
  • Directly manage salaried managers and teams with a people-first focus, building trust, actively listening, and maintaining transparent communication
  • Lead through coaching/development, hands-on coaching, exposure, stretch assignments, and opportunities for leaders to interpret data and set direction
  • Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels safe, welcome, and encouraged; engage with community and build relationships with local leaders
