Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • College degree or college coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related area (preferred)
  • One year of Human Resources administrative support experience or Human Resources college coursework (required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills; ability to interact with associates at all levels
  • Attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and effective organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources (highly preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required); prior experience with HRIS/HRMS (preferred)
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced and energetic environment
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers and lead by example

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruiting process in Workday: posting jobs, conducting interviews, coordinating final interviews with store leadership, completing job offers, and onboarding processing
  • Set up and conduct orientation for store as needed
  • Partner with local HR Business Partner to post or add hiring events or resources as needed
  • Manage first 90 days of employment for new hires to validate training and drive engagement; measured by early stage retention
  • Own store engagement programs, including daily, weekly, and period-based recognition
  • Own compliance at store/location level: process timely terminations, I-9 processing, maintain current Minor Binder (Work Permits), support scheduling, and Kronos reporting
  • Own off-stage locations for associate experience (e.g., break rooms, office, training spaces)
  • Serve as Person-In-Charge for portions of weekly schedules based on volume and need
  • Drive employment life cycle, internal employee engagement initiatives, hiring process, orientation, training, safety, compliance, and store communications
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
