Responsibilities

  • Provide all customers with first-class service, advising them on products and assisting in their shopping experience, in accordance with GERT guidelines
  • Train all sales associates
  • Supervise staff performance to ensure compliance with procedures and store policies
  • Control daily staff activities to ensure achievement of sales and service objectives
  • Support the Store Manager by implementing and contributing to training and audit processes to ensure accuracy of opening and closing procedures, shipments and deliveries, cash, returns, and appropriate sales techniques and customer service tools
  • Perform or assist in completing timely tasks related to candidate data filing, new employee onboarding, payroll, and counseling
  • Provide daily guidance to employees to ensure they meet established performance levels
  • Provide the Store Manager with information regarding staff performance within the formal performance evaluation process
  • Perform routine daily activities of the establishment, including opening and closing procedures, such as cash closing, cash preparation, and activating the security system
  • Contribute to maintaining inventory levels by communicating excess and shortage product cases to the Store Manager
  • Assume the functions of the Store Manager in their absence
  • Authorize and manage returns and exchanges
  • Maintain open and positive communication with all Columbia Sportswear executives and staff, as well as other internal departments and external vendors, to contribute to the smooth exchange of information and the efficient functioning of the organization
