Requirements

Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree (BS/BA) and a minimum of 3 years of people leadership or management experience. Required skills include success in previous roles with people leadership, creative problem-solving to drive sales, excellent communication, interpersonal, business management, and computer skills. Additional requirements include being a change agent, continuous learner, adept at cross-functional teamwork, influencing stakeholders, building relationships, working in fluid environments, using analytics for decision-making, attention to detail, managing expense budgets, a customer-focused demeanor, and being highly focused and results-oriented. Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine are preferred, as is diagnostic experience. A willingness to accept feedback and strong judgment are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Area Business Manager will lead and develop colleagues, utilizing solution coaching and business planning to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography. Responsibilities include leading and modeling Zoetis Core Beliefs, traveling throughout the designated geography, and spending 75% of field-coaching time to help sales consultants and technical specialists meet performance objectives. The role involves meeting or exceeding sales objectives, successfully leading new product launches, demonstrating success in key sales metrics, developing annual strategic business plans, coordinating marketing efforts, handling administrative duties like expense management and performance reviews, attending meetings, and engaging in special projects as assigned. The ABM must also align with and influence internal and external stakeholders and build relationships at all organizational levels.
