Proven record in growing and managing institutional client relationships in the Australian and/or New Zealand markets (strong New Zealand market experience a plus)
Outstanding sales closing, relationship management and negotiation skills
Capable of driving own agenda and overseeing client relationships
Responsibilities
As Lead Account Manager for assigned client base: Acquire and oversee relationships/initiatives of new and existing clients and mandates; take ownership from front to back end, ensuring investment, marketing, operational, compliance, and legal requirements are met
Develop relationships across influential asset allocators and investment teams in key institutions
Participate in formal portfolio client reviews, developing deep technical and macro expertise to act as surrogate portfolio manager and represent the firm per PIMCO standards
Develop and execute business plan for assigned client segment (primarily insurance and official institutions, subject to evolution)
Position PIMCO’s full range of products and services to assigned investor base, with senior investment professional support as needed
As supporting Account Manager: Collaborate with Lead Account Manager and team for relationship management coverage, stepping in as needed
As key team member: Develop and execute holistic business plan to deepen and broaden firm’s footprint in Australia and New Zealand, emphasizing insurance and official institutions
Build and maintain detailed knowledge of key business and strategic issues facing target channels to address them
