About the Opportunity

Salsify is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, and driven Account Executive, New Business with previous SaaS experience and a passion for solution selling. This role involves leveraging Salsify's Product Experience Management (PXM) solution and a talent for closing new business to build an effective pipeline and expand the existing client base of over 700 brands. Account Executives are expected to employ a strategic sales approach to identify and win new accounts with prominent global brand manufacturers.

Successful Account Executives are characterized by their storytelling abilities, effectively translating complex solutions into simple, relatable narratives that resonate with brands and help them navigate the evolving e-commerce landscape. Salsify is experiencing significant growth, and Account Executives are crucial in driving new logo acquisition nationally and globally. The company seeks high achievers who are passionate about acquiring new logos, setting high standards, and acting as true evangelists in their sales approach and execution.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales quotas within your customer base.
  • Manage executive-level relationships within the assigned customer base to ensure business value is delivered in alignment with customer KPIs and business objectives.
  • Proactively hunt for opportunities to expand customer business value and licensing with Salsify, and drive these opportunities to closure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within Salsify (e.g., Customer Success, Product, Sales Engineering, Marketing) to ensure customers continuously derive value from the platform, remain engaged, and are positioned as digital thought leaders in their domain.
  • Plan and execute formal customer activities, including business reviews (via screen share and/or in person), discovery sessions, platform demonstrations, and licensing negotiations.
  • Cultivate customer advocacy by securing their approval for reference calls, marketing activities, conference speaking engagements, and industry references.

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • At least 2 years of experience exceeding sales quotas in a closing role.
  • Proven experience selling SaaS solutions to business units and key personas such as CMOs, VPs, and Directors.
  • Ability to accurately forecast business on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Demonstrated success in generating substantial pipeline from self-sourced activities, contributing more than 30% of your pipeline.
  • Recognition as a trusted advisor within your peer group, with a willingness to help others succeed.
  • A proven track record of closing multiple opportunities within a given month.
  • The ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
