Candidates must have demonstrated ability to source the majority of their own pipeline and close net new customers. Expertise in executing the full sales cycle, from discovery and demo to commercials, implementation, and close, is required. A minimum of 2 years of consistent quota-carrying sales experience within the fintech or payments industry is necessary. The role demands the ability to sell, influence, and negotiate with prospects, along with being a self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced sales environment. Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom, GSuite products, and other common sales tools is expected, as are superb time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. A growth mindset, the capacity to learn from others, and excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong cultural awareness are also essential.
The Account Executive will drive FastSpring's growth by generating and closing new business opportunities across the full sales cycle, proactively prospecting and building a strong, self-sourced pipeline of qualified leads. Responsibilities include identifying high-potential opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and presenting solutions that address the unique needs of prospects, particularly in industries like SaaS, software, gaming, and digital products. This involves proactive outbound outreach through cold calling, email, social selling, and networking, as well as developing and executing creative, targeted prospecting strategies for North America and LATAM. The role requires qualifying prospects by understanding their eCommerce/payment operations and assessing fit for FastSpring’s Merchant of Record model, clearly articulating the company's value proposition, and educating prospects on how the solution simplifies global payments, tax compliance, and risk mitigation. Delivering compelling, solution-oriented presentations and demos in collaboration with cross-functional teams, navigating complex deal cycles with multiple stakeholders, and maintaining a healthy, self-sourced pipeline are key duties. Accurate weekly forecasting of sales activity and pipeline status, along with consistently meeting or exceeding sales activity targets and quota expectations, are also required.
