Candidates should have at least 5 years of quota-carrying sales experience in competitive markets, with prior experience in Big Data, Consumption, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions. Previous sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger) and experience in leading strategic sales initiatives are required. Exceptional communication, presentation, and time management skills, along with high integrity, intelligence, and a self-driven, team-player attitude are essential. A BS/BA degree or equivalent is preferred, and openness to travel to customer locations is necessary.
The Enterprise Account Executive, Digital Native is responsible for driving revenue growth in large, diverse, and complex territories by prospecting, identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing sales pipelines. This role involves owning the development, presentation, and sales of Confluent's value proposition, partnering with the ecosystem, and collaborating with Solutions Engineers and Professional Services to ensure customer success. The executive will manage the entire sales process, become a subject matter expert on Confluent offerings, present to C-levels to negotiate and close deals, and nurture customer relationships and partnerships for growth opportunities. Travel to customer sites may be required to identify and develop sales opportunities.
