Position Overview

Confluent is revolutionizing data movement, enabling companies to react faster, build smarter, and deliver dynamic experiences. We are seeking a driven Enterprise Account Executive, Digital Native to join our Sales Team. This role is responsible for selling Confluent solutions to large enterprises, leveraging your prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets. We are looking for a "hunter/closer" with a proven track record in a value-driven sales model.

What You Will Do

  • Drive revenue growth within large, diverse, and complex territories.
  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, develop, and close a sales pipeline.
  • Own the development, presentation, and sales of Confluent's value proposition.
  • Sell to and through the partner ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineers and Professional Services to ensure customer success.
  • Manage the entire sales process, working closely with business development, customer success, and support teams.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Confluent offerings and the competitive landscape.
  • Present to C-level executives to negotiate and close deals.
  • Create and nurture customer relationships, opportunities, and partnerships for growth.
  • Travel to customer sites to identify and develop sales opportunities as required.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in quota-carrying sales roles within a competitive market.
  • Prior experience in Big Data, Consumption, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions.
  • Previous sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger).
  • Proven experience in leading, driving, and executing strategic sales strategies to achieve revenue growth.
  • Consistent track record of success and history of overachieving quota attainment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including outstanding presentation abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • High integrity, intelligence, self-driven, and a team player.
  • Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills.
  • Open to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
