Candidates should have a proven track record in sales and at least 3 years of experience selling software to Small Medium Enterprises. Familiarity with IT Security Field concepts, practices, and procedures is required, along with experience using Salesforce and Gmail. A Bachelor's degree is a plus, and Network or Security Plus certification is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a stats-driven business approach, and the ability to be a motivated, energetic self-starter with strong collaborative teamwork skills are essential. The role requires working with minimum supervision.
The Account Executive will manage assigned customer accounts and maximize sales opportunities within them, focusing on enterprise-sized businesses (1501+ employees) to achieve and exceed monthly sales quotas. This involves promoting and selling KnowBe4's products and services, identifying and closing new customers, and reactivating lapsed accounts. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a pipeline of potential customers, forecasting new business prospects, identifying key decision-makers through cold calling and prospecting, and articulating the value proposition of KnowBe4's offerings. The role also requires achieving quotas, promoting products at trade shows, following up on marketing leads, strategically negotiating pricing, and maintaining accurate customer records in compliance with policies.
