Job Description: Account Executive - Government (South Korea & Taiwan)

We are seeking a driven Account Executive to grow Planet’s Government sales pipeline and book of business in Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security institutions for South Korea and Taiwan. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of selling in government and defense, a strong network, and the ability to navigate procurement processes. This role involves developing a robust pipeline, conducting product demonstrations, and formulating business strategies to achieve sales targets. Military experience and technical understanding of geospatial imagery are highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of sales in government and defense sectors.
  • Extensive network within Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security institutions.
  • Ability to navigate government procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Strong business development and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales pipeline.
  • Understanding of geospatial imagery products (or related technical field) is a plus.
  • Military experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales leads within target markets (South Korea and Taiwan).
  • Provide product and sales demonstrations to prospective government customers.
  • Formulate appropriate business strategies to close deals.
  • Source, sell, and co-sell opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas.
