What You'll Do

  • Leads and Develops Teams:

    • Teach, train, and actively listen to associates.
    • Tour stores and provide feedback (TourtoTeach).
    • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
    • Introduce and lead company change efforts.
    • Provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
    • Communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Models and Demonstrates Exceptional Customer Service:

    • Follow and demonstrate the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
    • Manage and support customer service initiatives (e.g., store of the community, community outreach programs).
    • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
    • Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies.
    • Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Drives Financial Performance and Sales:

    • Review and evaluate Profit & Loss (PL) statements.
    • Manage and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
    • Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
    • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Provides Supervision and Development Opportunities for Hourly Associates:

    • Hire, train, and mentor associates.
    • Assign duties and set clear expectations.
    • Provide associate recognition.
    • Communicate expectations consistently and effectively.
    • Promote a belonging mindset in the workplace.
    • Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinates, Completes, and Oversees Job-Related Activities:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
