Energy Efficiency Account Manager 1 (Remote)

Position Overview

Energy Solutions is seeking an Energy Efficiency Account Manager 1 to join our Energy Efficiency Programs team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with talented colleagues in a supportive and energetic culture, contributing to climate solutions through market-based programs that deliver significant energy, carbon, and water-use savings. Since 1995, Energy Solutions has provided proven, performance-based solutions for utility, government, and institutional customers. As the Energy Efficiency Trade Ally Manager, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of organizational relationships with HVAC, water heating, and heat pump manufacturers, distributors, and contractors, as well as commercial foodservice dealers.
  • Travel to trade ally/market actor locations to drive energy efficiency incentive program performance, build rapport, provide program support, and solidify connections.
  • Serve as a key resource and conduit between Energy Solutions program leads and the Outreach and Trade Ally Team (OTAT).
  • Track and report market activity and developments to build in-depth knowledge and accurately predict market trends.
  • Contribute to and support outreach plans for new and existing programs.
  • Analyze program participation statistics, market and economic data, and regulatory activity to identify sales potential and monitor performance trends.
  • Contribute to the development of trade ally and market actor relationships, including managing and building best practice documentation.
  • Develop familiarity with public data resources, identify relevancy to Energy Solutions’ strategic interests, and report on developments as appropriate.
  • Support distributors and contractors with program training and events.
  • Provide program support to market actors in program participation and rebate claim submissions.
  • Participate in program meetings and planning sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related position with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 4 years of work experience in a related position in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Willingness to conduct frequent local business travel (30-40%).
  • Experience with Energy Efficiency preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies through phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, Water Heating, and commercial foodservice sectors preferred.
  • Work experience in sales or at an HVAC contractor, Water Heating, commercial foodservice distributor, or manufacturer is particularly sought after.
  • Exposure to the construction supply chain is a bonus, but not required.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in a primary role.
  • Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
