Territory Account Executive - Clipboard Health

Why Clipboard Health Exists:

We exist to lift as many people up the socioeconomic ladder as possible. We dramatically improve lives by letting healthcare professionals turn extra time and ambition into career growth and financial opportunity. We achieve this with our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals, allowing professionals to book on-demand shifts and facilities to access on-demand talent.

About Clipboard Health:

Clipboard Health is a fast-growing Series C marketplace. We are a leader in our Long Term Care vertical and are expanding into several others (Dental Offices, Schools, etc). We are a YC Top Company with a global, remote team of 600+ people. We have been profitable since 2022, and fill millions of shifts annually at partner workplaces across the US, where tens of thousands of professionals work with us every year. We are looking for your help to keep growing so we can serve more professionals and workplaces.

About the Role:

We’re hiring Territory Account Executives to help us expand into new markets across the United States. This is a field-based, entry-level sales role ideal for candidates who are motivated by ownership, energized by face-to-face customer interaction, and excited to grow their careers in B2B sales.

As a Territory Account Executive (TAE), you’ll be Clipboard Health’s boots on the ground — prospecting, pitching, and closing new business with long-term care facilities like nursing homes and assisted living centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit nursing homes and healthcare facilities to pitch Clipboard Health’s value proposition.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new customers (primarily Directors of Nursing and Administrators).
  • Own your territory — build relationships, learn the market, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Tailor your sales approach based on customer feedback and share insights with sales leadership.
  • Document activity and pipeline in our CRM; report patterns to help improve our playbook.
  • Think like a Market Owner: run experiments, track what works, and iterate quickly.
  • Travel within your assigned territory; expect to be in the field at least 4 days per week.

Qualifications:

  • 0–3 years of professional experience (sales, customer service, or related fields).
  • Strong interest in outside sales, business development, or territory management.
  • Excellent communication skills — confident, clear, and comfortable presenting in person.
  • Self-motivated and resilient — comfortable hearing "no" and working toward "yes".
  • Highly organized and accountable — you follow through, take notes, and own your results.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Bonus Points For:

  • Completion of a sales training or fellowship program (e.g. SV Academy, Vendition, Flockjay, Victory Lap, Aspireship, Prehired).
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Familiarity with long-term care, healthcare staffing, or the healthcare industry.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary: $50,000–$75,000.
  • Uncapped commission with OTE ranging from $100,000 to $125,000.
  • Mileage reimbursement or travel stipend for field work.
  • Remote-friendly structure (field-based with work-from-home flexibility).
  • Rapid career growth opportunities in a mission-driven, profitable startup.
  • Smart, motivated teammates who care deeply about impact.

Our Hiring Process:

We value ownership, curiosity, and initiative — not pedigree. Instead of a traditional resume screen, you’ll be asked to complete a short take-home assignment to show how you think and sell. We review submissions quickly and move fast with strong candidates.

Unlike traditional staffing agencies, Clipboard Health operates as a marketplace, facilitating direct connections between facilities and nurses while earning revenue through transaction fees.
